Every family has a story, and this is ours. Lifepoint was born out of a deep desire to share God’s love in Almería, step by step, with faith, friendship and plenty of coffee along the way. Over the years, we have seen God shape a diverse, close-knit community full of hope.
The story of Lifepoint Church begins in 2007, when the Allianz-Mission missionary family Juan Carlos Fernández and Arely Molina came to Almería to start a FIEIDE mission station. In 2008 they opened a venue called Iglesia Buenas Noticias, but over time, because of health problems and a lack of fruit in the ministry, they had to leave the work. It was then that Antonio González Caparrós and Noemí Frías took on the work in 2014, restarting the church with a small group of believers, moving it to a new, more accessible venue and renaming it Lifepoint Church, with a younger, more international vision.

The new stage brought significant growth thanks to the involvement of international students who came to Almería to study Spanish, especially from countries such as China, Mexico, Peru and Poland. To make the space more welcoming and personal, the venue was redesigned in a café style, and Alfonso and Karmen, who shared the same vision, joined the team in 2017. This fresh, relational approach built a warm atmosphere where many experienced community and church for the first time.

Although the pandemic dealt a heavy blow to the church’s growth, afterward Luis Peraza and Magda Corobo joined together with a group of believers, bringing new life and leadership to the community. Their pastoral involvement strengthened Lifepoint and allowed it to keep growing in the midst of challenges. Finally, in 2023, pastors Antonio and Noemí were sent out to start a new work in Roquetas de Mar, marking a new chapter in the history of Lifepoint Church.

We have an amazing team of volunteers committed to spreading the gospel.
